VSE Corporation Appoints James M. Todd as PresidentAnd Chief Operating Officer
     ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- VSE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Donald M. Ervine reported today that VSE's Board of Directors has appointed James M. Todd as the company's President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Todd is expected to begin his new position at VSE on November 6, 2000. 
  Mr. Ervine said, "Jim Todd is a recognized and highly respected engineering services and manufacturing executive with more than 35 years of broad technical and management experience in the defense industry. He has worked as a program manager for industry since 1991 and before that, as a program manager for the U.S. Navy during a distinguished career from 1969 to his retirement as a Captain in 1991. In addition to approximately seven years' hands-on management experience at American Management Systems, Inc., Jim Todd brings a wide range of professional contacts and new networks to VSE. We believe this appointment will position VSE for future growth, and we look forward to working with him and to expanding our range of services and customers."

  Mr. Todd is a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (BS, Marine Engineering, 1968) and the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School (ME, Mechanical Engineer, and MS, Mechanical Engineering, 1975). Since 1993 Mr. Todd has served as a program manager at American Management Systems, Inc., where he supported a highly successful U.S. Navy ship maintenance program. He was appointed a Vice President for the Industrial Consulting and Systems Group in 1999. |
