This appears to be the reason for the bounce (in addition to Morgan this morning):

Intel's new Chip-set, code name - Almadore
will use PC-133 DRAM but will have Rambus video graphics engine.
Almadore is a 0.13 micron chip for the 1.3 Ghz Pentium III which
suggests the mid- to lower-end PC market
