This is a white paper that compare theirs stuff with competitors and compaq stuff looks good. Sgi is not part of the list. hp aix sun msft are compared. who does uncle sam talkwith to do clustering. sgi ibm compaq. hmmm I wonder why the left out sgi in this white paper.

On mips. Some may have though that lack of mips was the prob with the sony playstation... but

Sony has confessed that it itself is to blame for some of the "industry-wide component shortages" that it has in the claimed to have limited its ability to ship sufficient PlayStation 2 consoles to meet anticipated demand.
