Right. A stock-loss order at 60 could easily get filled at 55. The chart shows lots of gaps (in both directions).

But, no matter how ugly it gets, it won't be as bad as Globalstar. Qualcomm has some things Globalstar doesn't: a market, and profits. IMO, concepts like Globalstar (and 98% of the B2B/B2C companies, and at least half the biotechs) would never have gotten to the IPO stage, in a rational market. Before 1995, companies had to be a lot further along before the venture capitalists got to cash in. Everyone wants a piece of the VentureCapitalist action now, and has forgotten that 9 out of 10 ventures fail. The 10th one is a 100-bagger, which makes it all worthwhile. But this is not a game retail investors should be playing.
