Cellhigh,

I'm confused. I've done some digging. According to Rambus' most recent income statement, the company is already collecting royalties on SDRAM, DDR-SDRAM, and RDRAM. Is it possible that the U.S. Patent Office will take back these patents? Doesn't Rambus own the alternative designs as well? If so,why isn't the financial press reporting this?

What's more, the Robinson Stephens analyst said that Rambus would now have to look for other applications. But, I found news releases reporting that Rambus is already shipping RDRAM in Brocade's Silkworm fiber channel, Panasonic's High Definition TVs and Set-top boxes. And evidently, both Sony Playstations and Nintendo currently use RDRAM. Lastly, isn't Intel's Pentium IV using RDRAM exclusively for the first year?

What gives?!
