I don't think you can win like that. Nice guys do finish last. Ahh.. but I don't make the mistake of misinterpreting Bush's geniality for spinelessness. Anyone who saw how he reacted to the news that his debating tapes had been sent to the Democrats realizes the guy is not a pushover. Bush strikes me as someone who realizes his own capacity for nastiness, but also has the common sense as to know when to display it and when to keep it in check. In effect, he has learned self-discipline. Something that I think Al Gore is still struggling with and certainly something Clinton never quite grasped. Personally, I just like the fact that he has come so far in this election by taking the high road and appealing to his "vision" of unity and bi-partisanship. The fact that he is leading in the polls is a clear indication that maybe, just maybe, a nice guy WILL finish first this time around. Regards, Ron
