Why is the corporation supposed to behave altruistically? It may, but that is not its job. It is supposed to maximize shareholder value. This, by the way, is something you should earnestly desire, since the big players in the market are institutional, especially pension funds. Anyway, your post makes little sense. Bad management will exploit regardless, and likely moreso if it is not happy with the bottom line. Good management will consider staff morale, retention, and team development, and will likelier lead through carrots rather than sticks if it has lots of money to spread around.........
