gbh, Go back about sixty years to an RCA shareholders meeting, when the CEO first announced that they invented a new product which would bring them millions and millions of dollars....TELEVISION. Just picture the Chairman explaining to the shareholders and analysts alike how the technology would revolutionize their lives: CEO: We've got this box composed of tubes in which you can see moving pictures. ANAL-IST: What's it used for? CEO: Well....you can see someone talking. ANAL-IST: We got radio for that now. What else is it good for? CEO: Well...you can watch a Sit-com. ANAL-IST: What's a sit-com and who'll be watching? CEO: Well...the idea is to sell one of these to every household in America. ANAL-IST: Why would Americans spend money just to watch pictures of snow in black and white? CEO: No-no-no, TV stations will produce shows and transmit them live to the audience. ANAL-IST: What's a TV station? And how will TV stations profit from this deal? CEO: Well....I don't friggin know, maybe they'll sell INFOMERCIALS. ANAL-IST: What's an Info..... CEO: Ahhhh SHUT UP
