Nader vote erodes Gore's lead in state Vice president holds slight edge, poll says
November 1, 2000

TOM WEBB STAFF WRITER

Democrat Al Gore holds a narrow three-point lead in Minnesota over
Republican George W. Bush, according to a new statewide poll. But
it's third-party candidate Ralph Nader who has gained the most ground
lately.

The statewide poll shows Gore with 44 percent and Bush with 41
percent, putting the race within the poll's 4-point margin of error. That's
a tighter race than pollsters saw here a month ago, and it's due partly to
rising support for Green Party candidate Nader, who now has 8
percent.
