AL GORE'S FUZZY MATH
One of Al Gore's favorite slams against Texas Governor George W. Bush is that Houston has the worst air pollution of any major city in the country.

Guess what? It's a lie. Environmental Protection Agency statistics show that Houston didn't even come close to having the nation's dirtiest air in 1999. Topping that list is the Riverside-San Bernadino, California, area, where the air quality was rated unhealthy for 97 days in 1999. Houston had 54 days of unhealthy air...but Knoxville, in Gore's home state of Tennessee, there were 62 days of unhealthy air.

So where's Gore getting his numbers from?

NewsMax asked the Gore campaign, which responded by citing an October 5 story by the Associated Press. The story claimed that Houston was well on its way to being tagged America's smoggiest city for the second consecutive year. But neither the AP report nor the Gore press release can cite a source for their data. Their numbers can't be verified.

Al Gore wants you to think Dubya's mismanagement has led to poor air quality in his home state...but, as usual, Gore couldn't be farther from the truth.

Will you put this liar in the Oval Office next Tuesday?
