SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Virata® Corporation (Nasdaq: VRTA - news) announced today that Cisco Systems, Inc. has signed a software license agreement to integrate Virata's EmWeb(TM) HTTP Server and Client software into Cisco IOS® software. The web-based network management solution, targeted at the network and service provider markets, enables end-users to remotely monitor, configure, and manage devices or applications via the Internet using a standard web browser interface. The EmWeb HTTP Server and Client software was originally developed by Agranat Systems, a recent acquisition by Virata Corporation.

``Virata's EmWeb Client and Server solution simplifies network management and provisioning, which is a key benefit to any network administrator,'' said Dave Rossetti, vice president of Cisco's IP Internet Services Unit. ``Through integration of these embedded web management technologies into Cisco IOS software, Cisco customers are provided with more powerful and flexible solutions to configuring and managing their networks.'' ...

With VRTA and CSCO getting chummy, and WSTL being VRTA's biggest customer in previous quarters, might this be an in for WSTL to CSCO? WSTL has great products.
