Battered tech stocks got a helping hand from telecommunications equipment giant Alcatel (NYSE:ALA - news) (CGEP.PA). The French company soothed investors' nerves by posting a 109 percent rise in quarterly profits and boosting its growth outlook for the year. dailynews.yahoo.com Does anyone have an insight why some telcoms like Alcatel are faring better than others (ATT) these days?
