OT - Eyewatch - Nadir is the intersection of the so called Center-Line of the old bear set with the Center-line of the new bull-set. (Bull to bear is called the apex).

I say so called Center-Line because it isn't necessarily exactly centered between the upper and lower boundary lines (normally shown in red) of the bear or bull sets, but near the center. A very important line. On the charts it is shown as a sloping dashed green line. The upper and lower boundary lines of the bear or bull set are exactly parallel to it.

Nadir or low point is a term used to describe this low point on the patterns. It does NOT mean it is necessarily the low point in the price, but usually a pretty good buy point if you don't have the time to be watching stocks everyday.

The nadir (apex)is also the origin point of Center-Line Indicators and Trans-set lines both of which have very distinct and predictable influences on a stock's price movements.
