Don,

Take a look at the Article from the SanFrancisco Chronicle.

Then take a look at market share.......I have no doubt that Lucent would love to put the new chips in IDX and Fingerscan products. Why have they not worked a deal with IDX? Think about it.

IDX has always stayed ahead of the technology curve......Why would they not be now? Look at the price of the new lucent-based product.
Not the $ 49.00 everyone was expecting......and specs not up to optical standards......

There is alot more here than may meet the eye, Don.....It would be a mistake to believe that a company the likes of NRID or Key Tronics could remove IDX as market leader in this huge growth industry.
