Hi Charles,

Scott is a Republican-supporter from way back. In fact, Silicon Valley (esp. Santa Clara county) is really home to the moderate Republicans (like Tom Campbell). There are some Democrats in the computer biz, but not many.

You have to admit, Charles, Gore's populist rhetoric is more than a little unsettling to business-people. It has the distinctive smell of more regulation and stricter enforcement. He's to the left of Clinton. In his campaign rhetoric, he promotes the belief that big government is the answer to all the nation's problems. He's not afraid to use the legal system like a bludgeon to force compliance on all the "big bad business" out there that insists upon dis-obeying the law. He's like "Nader-lite".

If you want to see a market rally, vote for Bush.
