CALGARY, Nov. 1 /CNW/ - Electronics Manufacturing Group Inc. (EMG), an
electronic manufacturing services company recently recognized as Canada's
sixth fastest start-up, is actively seeking skilled employees for its Calgary
manufacturing facility. Currently employing 120 people at the Calgary site,
EMG needs to hire between 120 and 150 people within the next 4 weeks and
operate three full-time shifts operating 24-hours, seven days a week.
Recent growth has opened up a wide variety of employment opportunities at
the company. Specifically, new job openings include Engineering, Production,
Supply Chain Management, Quality, and Program Management. The company is
seeking dynamic individuals with skill sets including: Engineering &
Engineering support such as SMT Process Engineers, Maintenance Engineers, ICT
Test Development Engineers, RF Functional Test Development Engineers, Program
Managers, Electronics Process Engineers, Mechanical Assemblers, Inspectors,
Solderers, Manual Assemblers, PCB Assemblers, Wave Operators, Material
Handlers, Maintenance Technicians.

recruiting and fulfill EMG's immediate human resources requirements. "EMG's

EMG installed new Universal surface mount technology this week for high-
speed component placement increasing real-world production capacity to over 4
million placements per day. In addition, EMG upgraded three of its existing
Mydata component placement machines. This planned expansion provides required
capacity and advanced technology to meet the increasing manufacturing demands
of current and future customers.

The 4796 HSP turret-style chipshooter uses motor-controlled, direct drive
placement heads to achieve high speed tact times when placing devices ranging
from 0402 (1005) chips to 20 mm square components. The 4796 HSP can achieve a
placement rate of 0.10 seconds per placement (36,000 components per hour) and
board transfer times range between 2.9 seconds and 5.1 seconds. For further
