Doug, <AMD's Ward Tisdale told Tom's Hardware Guide that "there is nothing wrong with the 760 chipset." As for product availability he continued, "as we've said all along, it'll be available in systems like micronpc.com and NEC France in November and then widespread availability in Q1 of next year.">

Maybe Ward misunderstood the question posed to him. We know 760 uni-processor systems are out right now (at least Micron is taking orders), but what about 760 dual-processor systems? Are they delayed until middle of next year?

As a certified Intel-a-bee, it's very tempting to believe The YUK Register, but then again, I'm sure their bad news revolving around AMD is just as unreliable as their bad news revolving around Intel.

EDIT: Apparently, there were two separate reports. The first one is the delay of the 760MP (dual-proc chipset), which more or less seems official. The second one is the delay of the 760 chipset in general, which seems to be a case of confusion between the names 760 and 760MP.
