I hadn't considered that they might be talking about the next gen Durons. That would make a lot more sense, since I haven't seen any reports of serious Duron-specific bugs with the current chips. (Where serious means "can't be fixed with a BIOS update or setting change").

It would also give some continuity to the report (which talks about the other next gen chips).

Well, if true, that could hinder the upgrade from current motherboards to the new Durons. On the other hand, at least most current KT133 boards can take Athlon 1.0+ Ghz, which may be very affordable early next year when the Palomino is out.
