Indeed. Interesting news from the world of nanotech a few wherein University researchers at Berkeley implemented a single electron switch such that the electron jumps onto and off of a single Buckeyball molecule.

Mmmm. Cheap storage. Somehow, I don't think that's ready for primetime. Somehow, I don't think that's ready for deployment. Somehow, I don't see a commercial ramp of that technology in 2001. Maybe free-space optical chip-to-chip interconnect.

Now, what bus-based tech is out there to subvert, to do an end-run around (Rambus) double-clocking IP?
