Hi, Jammin. It is true that "buy and hold" was not a good strategy during year 2000. But since techs have bottomed out, there is a good chance that this strategy will once again have some value. I took long-term positions over the past month. . . and have high expectations.

Your list is nicely balanced, IMO. . . .and your entry points are near enough the bottom that they should all perform well over time. I cannot say what will happen in 5 years. If we get another summer bear like this one, it could throw us right into a recession or worse.

Meanwhile, while buoyancy is positive, I am aggressively trading to make the most of it. [I was up 1% today, while the Naz was down the same and the NDX was down closer to 2%.]
