Glenn: www.drudgereport.com provides some nice links to legitimate news sites. I visit it mainly for that reason. Don't believe anything that Drudge himself posts, though. Drudge is not a legitimate newsman. He fancies himself as a modern-day Walter Winchell with the hat and "take no prisoners" approach. Drudge deals mostly in rumors and half-truths and innuendo and character assassination. He's really been thumping Gore the past two or three weeks, probably because Bush is his boy. Real newspaper people try to get the whole story; Drudge mainly likes only to get "part of the story," because it makes for better reading than a balanced account. Drudge is on about the same level as the National Globe and the other supermarket tabloids I read when I'm in the grocery checkout line at Kroger's.
