And crimes are committed because criminalization keeps drug prices artificially high and attracts a criminal element to drugs precisely because they are criminal. Legalizing drugs and bringing down drug prices will only make it easier for teenagers, and even younger children, to buy these drugs. If you legalize drugs you will, most likely, end up with higher drug use rates in these age groups.
