No, I don't really care for links or to go any further with this.

My point started out as I thought the word oosik was pretty specific rather than general. And used the snow descriptor as an example. Everyone that has grown up in northern lats knows that snow isn't just snow and would want a bit more of a specific description. If you think the Injuns of the far north didn't care about the finer points, so be it.
