Rarely do I get politically active, as for the most part, one gonnif is as good as the next. I also do not have a "party affiliation", as I am a social liberal and a fiscal conservative, and as such find peace with neither major party. While I do admit tending to lean somewhat more towards the democrats than the republicans, I did vote for Bush in 88, as I felt he was one of the best quallified candidates we have seen in a long time.
That having been said, if G.W. wins this upcoming election, I will relocate my family to our home in Switzerland. The why for this is quite clear. The fed is fighting tooth, nail and claw to keep inflation in check, and all that idiot can talk about is cutting taxes for his rich buddies. Now, I must admit that I am well into that 1% that his tax package will benefit. I will also admit that I don't need the tax break. The piddly ass amount I would gain from said tax cut would be offset 20 times over by the money I will lose as the markets tank in three part harmony and glorious technicolor. The fed will have NO choice but to sharply raise rates, and the corresponding downturn in the markets will cost more in one year than his tax plan would save even me in a lifetime.
Some folks say you can't trust Gore, as he exaggerates... I would rather have someone in the White House who stretches the truth than someone who wouldn't know the truth if it just clear across the room and hermetically sealed itself to his left testicle. Ask G.W. any question more complex than 2 + 2, and all you'll here is who he will find good people to advise him. Prey tell, how would he recognize one of these good people while in possession of an IQ somewhat lower than a turnip? Better a thief than a fool any day :)
