QCOM - Qualcomm is expected to report earnings after
the close on Thursday and many analysts have come out
with their predictions. Most analysts are predicting that
Qualcomm will either match analysts expectations of 24
cents/share or miss by a penny.

Analysts are saying that Qualcomm's earnings are being
adversely effected by the Korean government's elimination
of subsidies on mobile phones. This is expected to
decrease sales of Korean handsets although the extent of
the damage is unknown. Analysts are estimating QCOM's
revenues to come in between $635 million and $714
million.

QCOM does have some wins including a big win in China
where the Chinese government pledged to build their
CDMA network based on QCOM's technology. Merrill
Lynch analyst Michael Ching came out with a preview of
QCOM's earnings saying that he believes the EPS will
come inline with estimates and revenues will be down 6
percent at $675 million compared to last years 4th quarter.
Shares of QCOM are down 4.85 percent at 61 15/16.
