ea, I see the call as having more positive than negative. We are starting to get a glimpse of how revenues will begin to flow from OnStar to GMGC. I am pleasantly surprised that significant revenues are accruing just from the engineering and maintenance fees. Once the service goes live, if Dain's estimates are even close to accurate, GMGC will on their way.
I am happy with the Qwest resolution, the IBM sales channel kicking in, and with the reiteration of the $12-15 million target for 2000 revenues. They made good with their promise to cut expenses.
On the downside, the Preferreds are still into GMGC for more shares than I would like to see. And, GMGC is still essentially a one customer company, though that should be on its way to changing.
Obviously, we need to see some proof of acceptance of the technology by end users for GMGC to really move forward. The pacts with Nuance, Speechworks, and IBM are positive, but it is time for those sales channels to start generating results.
