BTG Awarded $69 Million JDISS Contract
FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 2000--BTG, Inc. (Nasdaq: BTGI), an information systems and technical services company, announced that it has been awarded an information technology (IT) support contract by the Office of Naval Intelligence for the Joint Deployable Intelligence Support System (JDISS).
The contract has estimated revenues of $69 million to BTG over its five-year term.
BTG will provide the JDISS Joint Program Office with software integration and development, configuration management, program management, and enterprise management support. JDISS is a rapidly deployable system used by the joint U.S. military services. It connects intelligence centers, command centers and field commanders, offering worldwide interoperability among U.S. commands and joint task forces. Its use of commercial off-the-shelf software has prohuced an inexpensive and flexible system that can be upgraded quickly as advanced technology becomes available. BTG has been a partner with the Joint Program Office in the development of JDISS since the program's inception in 1992.
