NEWS out today.....SonicWALL Expands Distribution to Enterprise Networks; Signs OEM Agreement With Network Associates
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 2000--SonicWALL, Inc. (Nasdaq:SNWL), a leading provider of Internet security solutions, today announced an OEM agreement with Network Associates, Inc. (Nasdaq:NETA) to provide high performance security appliances through the Network Associates direct sales force into enterprise security environments. Under the terms of the agreement, SonicWALL will supply Network Associate's PGP Security Division with PGP-branded Internet security appliances that complement PGP Security's Gauntlet line of enterprise-class Internet security software products.
By adding the SonicWALL Internet appliance to its portfolio, PGP Security can now deliver an advanced security solution that scales from headquarters to off-site hosted environments, branch offices and remote workers. Recognizing the need to provide comprehensive Internet security and Virtual Private Networking (VPN) capabilities, PGP Security performed a comprehensive evaluation of all major appliance-based security solutions. PGP Security selected the SonicWALL offering based on its high performance, integrated functionality, and leadership position in the security appliance market. Each SonicWALL appliance provides ICSA certified firewalling, network virus protection, hardware accelerated IPSec Virtual Private Networking, authentication using digital certificates and content filtering in an easily deployed appliance architecture.
