NEON Communications Announces Third Quarter 2000 Results Company Reports Record Bookings of $56 Million WESTBOROUGH, Mass., Nov 2, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- NEON(R) Communications, Inc. (NEON) (NASDAQ: NOPT chart, msgs) announced its financial and operating results for the three months ended September 30, 2000 and reported record bookings of $56 million in the third quarter. Revenues for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2000 increased 163% and 225% to approximately $4.2 million and $10.4 million, respectively, compared with revenues of $1.6 million and $3.2 million for the same period in 1999. The increasing revenues reflect the Company's provisioning of lit circuits, representing 65% of the third quarter's $3.5 million of recurring revenue. The Company had approximately $0.7 million of non-recurring revenues associated with construction, engineering and design during the quarter ending September 30, 2000.
