As usual, Malcolm, your long term perspective provides valuable insights. What most of the investors/traders suffer from is a lack of patience. If a stock falters for a few days/weeks/quarters, it's branded dead money, and they go hunting for the next rocketship. It's pure fantasy to think one can consistently find stocks positioned like qcom was in 4Q99 and then cash out on 1/3/00. That's the Holy Grail for the traders, and I wish them luck, but I'm just going to grind it out.
