Agreed.

I think the supply-demand balance for flash is a moving target and we need to pay close attention to updated estimates.

Recall that SanDisk backed off on further expansion of production in Taiwan (there was discussion of a non-UMC fab being approached for this) now that an agreement with Hitachi has been struck which includes a guaranteed flash supply if SanDisk opts for it (Eli was very excited about this during the c.c.). By mid-year the situation at Dominion will be clearer as well. Toshiba seems to be making great strides based on Binx' update yesterday. This can only mean good things for the Manassas project.

I am happy that Sharp is looking to UMC for help with flash fabrication. When SanDisk licensees are busy it means more potential licensing revenues.

Still hoping this Lexar thing gets settled out of court. Time is running short here as the trial begins Monday.
