Hi Andrew,

>>>Techie, are you saying that Lucent is basically admitting to "blowing it" by letting go of Paradyne?

No, I am not saying that at all. I asked the question in front of hundreds of people. The answer was something like (I am typing from memory) "Paradyne didn't fit into our growth area focus. They were producing about $180MM in revenues and we didn't view the growth prospects to fit in with our goals. We are not currently interested in ADSL... but are focusing on fiber... others are in the ADSL market, we are not...."

Now it could be that they knew DMT would win but of course they couldn't say that in public... I am just speculating with this thought...

>>>Also, why is Lucent backing BBTK as late in the game as SuperComm ?

Lucent & BBTK have been working together on FLEX for a long time.
