OK, that makes sense. I'll bet Intel helped someone build SSE2 into an MP3 encoder. Encoders are pretty FPU intensive so I wouldn't expect the P4 to encode that well unless it used SSE2 would you? Could look bad if someone benches it with an MP3 encoder that doesn't support SSE2 or SSE.
