Bush has been saying for years he had a drinking problem that he gave up in 1986 when he became a Christian. He has always said he did things in past that he didn't want talk about because he didn't want others to think it was okay for them to do it because he did. He stated as a father he didn't want his daughters to know about his DUI and I can understand that. As for the other topic you bring up, I am not even going to address it other than to say that the White House leaked it to the press in August 1999 and none of the press could find anything to run with. Yes, I do blame the Dems for what is obviously a dirty trick! I don't know about others, but it makes my support of Bush just that much stronger!
