RE:") What did the MP3 community try that was a total zero on Pentium III?" Intel SSE enabled an encoder (Virtuosa Gold) package that went no where and is now out of business. I guess the SSE extensions didn't help that company did they? I would like to see what program they used. Maybe they were smarter this time. Jim
