I would think a Ross Perot endorsement would hurt rather than help at this stage of the game. Is there anyone who still takes the guy seriously? Didn't Perot in '96 accuse one of the Bushes of trying to disrupt his daughter's wedding? I never quite understood that one. You're right. These last five days of the campaign will be like a Fellini movie. I caught the Bush mini-press conference live. Pretty weak performance. Chris Matthews even lambasted Bush for "hiding behind his daughters' skirts."
