Dear fellow white male, we have a lot in common. I, too, am the proud father of a beautiful girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She's a grown lady now, and has enriched my life in many ways. I'm glad that you take your responsibilities seriously; persevere and you will be rewarded beyond your expectations.
Based on your daughter's tender age, I'm assuming you are much younger than I, so please permit an older white male to offer you some advice.
Some investors prefer IDCC to the mighty Q, while others choose LU. Some prefer daytrading to ltb&h, or options to common stock. Those differences in preference spring from the uniqueness of each investor. Those differences make a market.
Some people are ambitions while others live for sport and frolic. Some are monogamous while others seek variety. Some walk the path of religion while others are atheists. Those differences make a society.
It would be presumptuous of you, since your investing experience is limited compared to mine, to tell me which stocks to pick or how long to hold them. It would be even more presumptuous of you to tell me how to conduct my life.
If you have no tolerance for the rights of others to hold different beliefs, you will always alienate rather than influence, and your life companions will be limited to those of identical persuasions to your own.
That's the path you're on right now, son. Is that what you intended?
