Not that anyone asked me, but I would respond that PALM does not need to LEAD with technology. These days technology can be copied very quickly and staying ahead of the curve in terms of technology requires incredible investments and guarantees that many of those investments will be wastes of money. PALM leads with its brand and because of the network effect in terms of third party developers who develop applications for the PALM OS. With this incredible momentum, PALM is smart to wait and see if consumers really want to pay the big bucks for color, megabytes, and speed. Think about your own favorable opinion of the M100 over the other "fancy" PDA's that you own. Even so, where the hell is PALM with respect to always on wireless messaging? This has to be the next killer AP in PDA's given RIMM's success.
