The View

I sit in World's Wondrous beauty

Tall clifflike hills
sloping down to oceanic plain

Sea wind rushing in
whistling through branches
of ancient twisted gnarly olive trees

Old Spanish mansion
sits atop terraced hillside
as if a queen bethroned
reviewing her domain

Shepherd's flock
adding soft whispering bells
as they amble along in the valley
btween these great hills

These wandering sheep see the sight
as ordinary

it is all they know

We can only sit
in wide mouthed awe
of its magnificence
