for a very unfortunate tragedy. Bush's offense was a misdemeanor. No one got hurt. In that context if one thinks
Bush would make a good president, is this a forgivable offense? To myself and countless other Bush backers it is.

What's unforgiving here, Hammer, is the fact George W. Bush, in Year 2000, did not, when he announced or at any point during his campaign, admit he was arrested, fined and had his licensed suspended for drunk driving. He gave as a reason why he didn't tell the American public: He didn't want his kids to know about it. Hmmm. I guess the GOPwingers didn't care much about Bill wanting Chelsea to konw, did they?

No, Hammer, the issue is: Bush covered up in Year 2000. No way around it!
