ATTENTION, ATTENTION ELECTION DAY HAS BEEN CHANGED!
Regarding election day change, see bottom of this post.
Craig,
Yes! I have noticed and wondered about that myself. Did you upgrade the firmware in the camera to ver 1.1? That noticeably speeds things up in a couple of ways. For example in the single shot mode, when the buffer is full, with ver 1.0 you used to have to wait for it to empty completely before taking another shot. Now, with the upgrade, as soon as there is enough room in the buffer, you can shoot while the camera is writing the rest of the pictures to the card. It is strange that the multi-shot mode does not do this as well. I think I will call and ask them to fix it in version 1.2.
In either case the irritating waiting is only half as long if you have a Lexar card. As soon as SNDK wins the lawsuit and Lexar is forced into bankruptsy, and SNDK gets the speed technology, because LEXAR can't pay the court award and has to give this up in lieu, and SNDK puts this speed in their card, you will be able to get this same speed in a Sandisk card for your new 64 mega-pixel Nikon which will be out about the same time this comes to pass. :-)
Have a good weekend, Craig, I will be gone next week on the Rapsody of the Seas taking pics with my 990 and sipping Colorado Bulldogs. It's a tuff job, but somebody has to do it. See if you can get SNDK up to $100 before my return.
Hey, this just in on the newswire: Due to the large volume of voters expected for this election, the voting date has been expanded to 2 dates.
Republicans will vote on Tuesday, November 7th, and Democrats will vote on Wednesday, November 8th.
Please pass this along to your friends and let them know in case they didn't get the word. We don't leave anyone out.
Regards,
