Peter: You may be correct, but the key event energizing the Biotech Boom last fall was the announcement that Chromosome 22 was sequenced. So, maybe the Big Biotech Event doesn't need to be so Big. It could well be, for example, that an announcement by a big HMO that they've begun genetic testing for drug responses (the $50 test mentioned in the Fortune piece) would really catch the media's and investing public's attention. By the way, PPGx, (the company mentioned in Fortune) is private but its majority owner, AXPH, is publicly traded and seems undervalued to me.
