Dow looks more like a flag than a coil to me, among other things not enough time for the latter. Would want to wait for a breakout in either case, but upward move could easily test recent high. Nasdaq looks determined to re-visit the Madonna cleavage. Election and day after looking like potential inflection point. Anyone track T-Bonds after the Bush DUI news? (Am wondering if Bush's reluctance to discuss the phantom trillion is for fear of harming his daughters.) Maybe closeness of election is itself turning into a positive: Whoever wins, even if there's an R sweep, will have a hard time doing anything very dramatic with the budget or any other major policy. Perhaps more telling is that Gail Dudack remains stubbornly bearish, historically a positive sign.
