CT, why does it matter? As I said earlier, GE is 60% GE capital and gets 55 PE for 18% growth.

It looks to me like only about a third (very roughly; you can calculate your own number from the information at the cite below) of that increase in
book value is due to retained earnings; the rest is due to sale of stock at more than book value. I will admit that they are good at selling stock, but I'm
not sure I'd be touting that as a positive of their business model.
