An interesting question.

If Bush wins the popular vote, but Gore wins the Electorate College and becomes President, and we have a Republican Congress; how does everyone feel the market will react?

My thoughts are that we are going to see another significant sell off if this occurs. The market hates uncertainty. And A Republican Congress is not going to make things easy for a President who has lost the popular election and won on an antiquated electoral system that will probably be dropped.

I'm thinking about setting up some hedges against some of these powerful longs like ICGE, going into Tuesday. I even think the media may catch hold of this idea at some point over the weekend and make this a bit of a self realizing prophecy of sorts. Thoughts?
