I'm truly pissed also. At myself. Usually do fairly good dd before I purchase (or at least know more about the companies I invest in), but in this case I gambled because of the dwdm announcement a few months back. Looked like a decent bet when combined with the outlook for the future and trading at a fairly low multiple for this type of company (I thought).

The lesson I learned (or re-inforced) was that when a company makes announcements for great things in the future, run for the hills. Lucent was famous for this tactic a year or two back, and look at them. Looks like companies do this when they feel the future is bleak.

Oh well, live and learn. Any other suggestions on whether to stay or go? Another phenomenon I have noticed in this market is when a stock gets slammed (like MLT today) it usually continues to go down for a while, although not quite as dramatically.
