Bush has shown superior character. He has always disclosed there are things in his past his is not proud of. He has always said he drank too much in the past. He has been forthcoming. Even in this he readily admitted it was true. He elected not to be specific but general about the fact he has past sins. The fact he received a ticket in 1976 should not be germane to his present good character. He didn't attempt to use the great influence and power his father could have utilized to have released him from the fine and license revocation. He, like a real man, accepted his punishment without attempt to manipulate the law. Bush is a good man. To see how people handle adversity I now want to see how gore handled the recent arrest of his son driving 100 mph in a 45 mph zone. Did his son pay a huge fine and serve any jail time? That severe a violation should demand both. Was his record expunged or dismissed? I think we need to know. Agreed?
