What GSM/WCDMA has that CDMA doesn't is a huge installed base, and that appears to be quite significant. As for Samsung, I understand that they have had some well received models of phones. Their ambition is to gain 10% more market share over the next 5 years but that will still leave them a second tier player. They are such a diversified conglomerate that I don't really think they can be invested in as a wireless play because that is just a small portion of what they do. They don't even have a U.S. listing that I'm aware.
