I wouldn't mind an active thread here. I would really appreciate a discussion of BOBJ vs Cognos from knowledeable people here. I have never used any BI software, but it seems to me that BOBJ has better partnerships (e.g., Seibel). It also looks like BOBJ's software is more internet-centric, pulling data from websites, clickstreams, etc. Revenue growth for the 2 companies has been about the same. Cognos sells at a much lower multiple.

Any comments would be appreciated.
