Maybe you missed it - but during the Intel Executive WebCast, Otellini specifically said that Intel is creating a new design/CPU SPECIFICALLY for the mobile market.

He did imply that this was NOT for the immediate future, but more than likely a 2 year deal.

One possibility for Intel - they can add a hardware/software translator front-end to their new X-SCALE architecture and basically translate x86 code into ARM code - and target it for the 0.13 micron process.

That could out-TransMeta TransMeta - if done right !
